TreeLine, a Sunshine Coast Council Green Art project, invites you to celebrate trees and their stories and inspire others to take action for the environment through art.

TreeLine has begun in earnest. So far over 1600 participants and volunteers have had a wonderful time at the Woodford Folk Festival, the Bunya Dreaming, The Book Farm’s Tree Tales Festival for school children, Palmwoods Piccabeen Celebrations, Tree Mappa 2.0 cyber drama workshops, and at Currimundi Catchment Care’s Community Art in the Park.

We invite you to get involved and share your tree inspired artwork in the TreeLine 4U Program or participate in a TreeLine event.

TreeLine 4U – How to Create Your Own TreeLine Project

TreeLine is for everyone – from kindy kids to professional artists and everyone in between.

Some ideas to get you started:
A painting, drawing or story about a tree by your child of his/her favourite tree
Photos of your favourite tree with a caption explaining why it is important
Tree jewellery made from natural materials
A sculpture using natural materials or a model for a 'green' tree hut
A film clip taken on a mobile phone
EcoArt work by a professional artist and a link to similar work
An eco-song composed and sang by your class
Educators, take a look at the TreeLine Education Resource Kit for ideas provided by our Lead Artists

Things to think about:
Chose a significant or special tree
Celebrate the tree and its story through art
Take action for the environment
Share your project large or small on the TreeLine website by uploading your photos, stories and YouTube clips. It’s easy!!
